Etihad Airways - Flight cancelled and no intimation to passengers--- are you kidding me?
Our flight was scheduled from SFO to India on 28th June at 9.40 AM. After standing in check-in *** for 2.5 hours, we were told the flight that was supposed to come from Abu dhabi didn't took off and our flight is cancelled.
Are you kidding me right now?? In this age of internet, no intimation to passengers?? They booked us in next day's British Airways flight and asked us to arrive at check-in atleast 5 hours before flight departure else seating is not guaranteed. What the heck??
For working people like us, who would rarely get time offs 4 days of precious time off is wasted in waiting for a journey and this is super duper ridiculous.
Even if I get a deal to fly for $500, I'd avoid this airlines like a cancer from here on. I'm totally pissed off...

Hi, Etihad Airways flight EY183 from Abu Dhabi to San Francisco on Tuesday 28 June, 2016 diverted to Manchester, England, due to a medical emergency.
Paramedics met the aircraft upon landing in Manchester Airport.
The diversion meant that EY183 was unable to continue to San Francisco as the crew would have exceeded their allowable crew duty period.
Etihad has provided all guests on the EY183 with hotel accommodation in Manchester and EY183 will resume its flight to San Francisco on the 29th June, after the crew have had their legal rest period.
The return flight EY182 from San Francisco to Abu Dhabi is delayed as a result.
